Test Engineer, CMSE
I joined the Blue Danube Robotics team through my electrical engineering studies at the Vienna University of Technology. In the beginning, I was mainly responsible for DevOps. Since 2018, with the implementation of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI&CD), I have been responsible for testing the AIRSKIN firmware as part of the EC type-examination, among other things.
From this point on, it was necessary to become familiar with the Machinery Directive (2006/42/EC) and the standards for functional safety (ISO 13849 and IEC 62061). The experience gained in this way, as well as my weakness for LaTeX and version management, led to the fact that certifications and the creation of operating manuals also moved into my area of responsibility.
Due to the already countless overlaps with the topic of machine safety, the consideration to become a "Certified Machinery Safety Expert" (CMSE®) was quite a short one, as it offered not only a deepening of theoretical knowledge, but also the possibility to expand practical understanding.
I want to use my expertise to incorporate my knowledge regarding machine safety into developing new AIRSKIN® products and support our customers in realising productive, fenceless, flexible - but above all - safe systems.
